Serious flaw

There is a serious flaw in this application when the English version is loaded which allows you to purchase a ticket without entering a Korean telephone number. Therefore it never links to ticket to the phone and never displays the ticket. This essentially allows you to purchase nothing... you can't check the ticket on the website, you can't create an account to view the ticket. I got a confirmation email (and a charge in my credit card), which makes it clear my purchase went through, but no ticket.

An already terrible app gets worse

Looking up tickets stopped working the second I set foot on the train and hasn't worked for a week now...thanks, didn't need to showy ticket to the free loader already in my seat.
Now Korail seems to have moved to a new payment system and it doesn't even work. I can't even use this app for it's intended purpose, booking a train ticket!
Being a foreigner in Korea is already hard with the way ID and banking systems are stacked against you but this just made it even worse. I haven't even touched on the issues that already existed with the app.
Terrible UI, system is slow and unresponsive half the time, it's a gamble if the thing will even work. Korea is supposed to be a technological marvel and leader in the worldwide transition into the fourth industrial revolution but apps like this sincerely make me doubt that.

Just take the English back from us

Frankly I think 1 star is too much — if I could, I wold gave this app 0 stars, simply because you can’t achieve the very thing this app is meant to do.
So it’s nice that this app finally gets “native” English support instead of redirecting the user to their website, but here’s an issue — how in the world have you decided to make entirely different app rather instead of localizing the already-working Korean version? I mean the entirely different app of which UX is terrible, and worst of all, too buggy that I can’t book a ticket?
Before I could use my humble Korean skill to book a ticket — it surely took some time, and sometimes some mistakes, but I could get the tickets for sure. Now it seems like I can’t do that simple thing without changing everything in my phone into Korean.

New update makes it useless

The app has always been pretty bad but at least I was able to reserve tickets. Since they’ve changed the app, I can no longer complete my purchase with not only my US bank cards but also my Korean bank cards. The app is completely useless now. Why make it harder (or in my case impossible) to purchase tickets???
