1. The translation used is referred to as "Amplified." This is currently my favorite version, as it lends itself towards truly understanding what the authors of the bible meant.

2. This app, like all the other free bible apps out there, is ad supported.

3. This app is for those who enjoy the pure, simple joy of reading the bible, unencumbered.

4. All navigation is easy to find and accessible at the top of the screen and at the end of chapter, so you can quickly move around.

5. So many other apps out there do, and it's really annoying (that's actually what led me to create this app).

6. It doesn't have any complicated features, and it doesn't send you push notifications.

7. The difference is, I promise never to interrupt the experience with full screen ads.

8. By downloading this app, you are helping to support an independent app developer, and a christian, to make a living.

Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:

Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Amplified Bible (Offline) on PC [Windows 7/ 8/8.1/ 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Amplified Bible (Offline)"
The search will reveal the Amplified Bible (Offline) app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Amplified Bible (Offline) is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Amplified Bible (Offline).
Now enjoy Amplified Bible (Offline) on PC.

I have used the the app Bible for my personal use for years. I love how it “amplifies” a single word that truly doesn’t have one single word in the English language to give it accurate meaning. Although I’ve had a hard copy, I wanted a copy on my phone for ease when traveling. After I learned how to use this app (I should have read the other reviews 😄), it worked perfectly for my personal use while on a trip to Europe. I would defend recommend it.
Simple and accessible Bible app

As a blind person who simply wants to read the Bible and maybe note verses that are important to me, I use this app for my daily Bible reading. It also works perfectly with my Braille display. Its layout is very simple and allows me to very easily select and read parts of Scripture. God bless the people that made it!
Nice and Simple

To change books, touch the current book at the top which brings up the selection pane at the bottom. Select the book / chapter and touch anywhere in the top reading pane and the book will change. Yes, there are no instructions but I managed to figure that out... 4 stars - Some additional features would be nice.

I love this app. I have never been able to find the the app version downloaded for under$5 till now. I love how simple the app is to use. About like reading a regular Bible which I prefer but my kids are hard on the hard copies. :)
