What is MATLAB? The MATLAB Mobile app allows users to connect to MATLAB from their iPhone or iPad. Users can evaluate MATLAB commands, create and edit files, view results, acquire data from sensors, and visualize data from their mobile device. The app also allows users to connect to MathWorks Cloud from MATLAB Mobile using their MathWorks Account.

Download and install the MATLAB Mobile app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks Pc or Mac software Here >> .

Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using MATLAB on PC [Windows 7/ 8/8.1/ 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "MATLAB"
The search will reveal the MATLAB Mobile app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once MATLAB is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including MATLAB.
Now enjoy MATLAB on PC.

Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)

For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.

Installing MATLAB:
- Login to your computer's PlayStore or Amazon AppStore.
- Search for "MATLAB" » Click "Install" to install MATLAB Mobile

✔ Pros:

- Works as expected

- Able to access built-in sensors

- Can connect to laptop and MathWork clouds

- Can save and retrieve files

- Convenient for studying on the go

☹ Cons:

- Does not support iPad Pro 11

- Has not improved to do basic file operations or support external file providers

- Disappointing considering the cost of Matlab license

- Acquiring data from sensors now requires an upgrade

- Not useful for commercial movement feedback

- Greedy move by requiring upgrade for previously free feature

Missing so many features

The iPads hardware continues to match forward and Mathworks isn’t taking advantage of that. An app such as Pythonista gives a first class Python IDE taking advantage of local file providers (to use working copy for git). And it’s completely developed by one person. Super disappointing considering it basically hasn’t improved to even do basic file operations (import from other apps, let alone external file provider support). Given all of the made per this app license I would think even a simplified version of full this app would be possible. If you’re looking for a viewer for your files already in the mathworks cloud this is fine. For real development work especially using git version control, this is a joke. If you have a choice in the matter learn Python get Pythonista and leave mathworks proprietary stuff behind.

Works as expected. Learning this app for a summer course at USF. I’m able to access the built in sensors, connect to my laptop and to the MathWork clouds. Save and retrieve files as well. Now I can study on the go! 👩🏽‍🏫👩🏽‍💻
Sensors’ data acquisition used to be free

When I first installed the app, acquiring data from the sensors used to be free... Now it requires an upgrade. No body would build a system that contains an IOS device in it for movement feedback; no body would use the feature commercially. The only use is for small debugs and educational purposes Such a greedy move and a disappointment....
