VLC app

This is a wonderful little app. I can walk anywhere in the house with my iPad while watching a movie. The only problem I have with this app is that it loses wifi contact once in a while and I have to shut my computer down and restart to get the app back online. It doesn't happen very often but when it does happen it is annoying. Also I can’t find anywhere but I can add subtitles , I have a few movies that I need subtitles floor . I would give this app four and a half stars, out of five stars.
Crashes constantly when trying to search for videos

This is happening on iPad and iPhone. Is there a limit to the number of files it can handle? I have about 450 on my system, mostly just tv shows and short clips (only a handful of feature length movies). I can’t even search for them right now without crashing the program- most perplexing is that I have installed on 2 different devices (iPhone 7plus and iPad Air 2) and same thing is happening on both. When it works the videos play fine - but I have manually scroll through my entire list to find things, any searching or tagging is impossible right now, crashes every time. :(
