  • Good except

    By ItalianDragon19 (Pcmac user)

I love this app except for the fact that the ingredients are cut off by the box that says add to shopping cart. Might want to fix that small flaw.
  • Could be good

    By mpressley (Pcmac user)

I like the recipes, however there is no recipe box to save them in. Highlighting the star doesn't do anything other than flag me that I might or do like the recipe. The number of recipes are limited as well (I have the paid version!. More importantly, this app is not for a novice, which I am. It does not give any hints as to what to eat to get a balanced diet. You have to be well educated in your nutrition needs to figure out how to eat these foods and still get all the nutrients you need. All of that being said, many if the recipes do look good and I will give some of them a try.
  • Unlisted ingredients; cooked food

    By Jmtonkin (Pcmac user)

The main problem with this app is that not all ingredients of the recipes are listed. Sometimes you can tell because in the recipes instructions it mentions items that were not on the ingredient list. Other times, even the recipes title ingredient is left off the list! I upgraded to the paid version of this app in hopes that this would no longer be an issue, but no such luck. The app is other downfall is that many of the recipes are not the app! The cooked ingredients are justified by saying that "it is a special occasion" or that "it is okay because the cooked ingredients comprise only 25% of the recipe." (It is not clear whether that is 25% of the calories or of the volume of the recipe.) Many serious rawists would consider other recipes unsuitable as well, as many of them contain highly processed, packaged ingredients, and/or have a high-fat content. Here's the thing. I don't think any of us have such a difficult time finding recipes that feature cooked ingredients, that we need to include them in an app that is supposed to be about the app food. If you are new to the app foods, or just want to incorporate more uncooked fruits and veggies into your diet, you may be fine with this; I myself would prefer only the app recipes in my the app food app. Either way, save the 1.99 for an app that tells you what ingredients you are expected to use in the recipes.
  • Not worth the money

    By Sputnik1585 (Pcmac user)

I don't feel at this point that the app is worth the money I paid for it. It has way too many errors. I have paid a lot less for better made, better organized apps. The recipes look good, but a lot of them are repeats. They show up twice in the list, so I'm not sure how many their actually are. The recipes need to be edited and clarified. Some of them are hard to understand if you are new to cooking vegan. Some of them are hard to understand period because they are vague about the preparation. The reason I say they need to be edited is because in some of them I noticed it would give an ingredient, but not the amount. Also, in the "more" section there are only adverts for other apps. For the money I paid, I think there should be something else. Like a way to add you own recipes, an ingredients dictionary with pictures, a shopping list, a way to add your own ingredients, etc., etc., etc. If I'm paying that much for an app, it would be nice get rid of the adverts all together. Oh, I didn't see any green smoothie recipes or juice recipes. Including some of those would be nice, too. The free version is a lot better than the full version. Thanks! I hope the creators of the app read these reviews. It would nice to these suggestions in an update sometime in the near future :)
