Download and install the PDFpen 5 – PDF Editor app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks Pc or Mac software Here >> .

Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "PDFpen 5"

For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.

I’ve purchased every version of PDFPenPro for Mac OS and the iOS versions since they first launched their first app. The developer consistently updates the app. Their customer service is excellent. I highly recommend all products from this developer, including TextExpander for iOS and Mac OS.

Once upon a time, this app was at least close to best of breed. Unfortunately, this app has not held up well with the advances that have come to the iPad. It’s support for the Apple Pencil, for example, is especially disappointing. You can’t double tap to erase, and even the pencil tracking is slow and imprecise, which produces a rather frustrating experience when writing. You’ll want to look at GoodNotes or MarginNote 3 (or better), the latter of which (presently?) even offers a 14 day free trial.

PDFpenPro 7 for the laptop/desktop computer along with PDFpenPro, version 2 for the iPhone/iPad are useful tools. I have used both versions for over a year, and regularly have used both to annotate, highlight, or make changes to text. Recently I needed to create a form that allowed for form fields. I had not done that before. The document I was creating was a bit complicated, and when I realized I needed some help I contacted Smile. You know a good product not only by all of the ways you can use it, but by the support you get from the company when you need a little help. My experience with this company kept me smiling. The replies to my questions not only came back in record time, but the support was both informative and courteous. I highly recommend the application and app along with the company behind the product.

The old PDF Scan+ app allowed you to OCR existing PDFs. This is the only feature missing for me.
