I can't say whether it's intentional or not, but the rhythm of the song being played is only a distraction from the gameplay which only requires tapping halves of the screen in the correct pattern. In fact it may even be easier with the sound off although I haven't tried that yet. Like I mentioned though, this may be the point, as the game is called 'the app on piano', not 'play piano' veronika s' games seem to appear on my path every once in a while and i appreciate them. they are simple, not demanding, and concept driven. worth a go.

This game is very fun and addicting to play!! And very cool and hard but you get the hang of it after you play it for awhile
