I’m not entirely sure just WHAT it’s actually detecting (hey, I’ll admit I’m not a genius on this topic... yet*g*) but I know enough about the app fields to realize that they’re something we should be aware of. The app is really simple and very consistent. Plus, it’s great fun to play with 😎. Now I just need to figure out why my iHome alarm clock/stereo system pegs the meter off the charts while my 16 plug surge protector barely registers! LOL
Works good if you practice.

This works good if one practices. At first it didn’t do to good. Then I took the phone case off. It works much better now. Also place the back of the phone flat against the wall and slide it around. Play with it to test it’s limits. Don’t expect this to replace the high dollar professional units.
This worked great on my iPhone 7.

I saw the other bad reviews and I disagree completely. This seems to pick up however only the app metals like nails and screws in sheet rock. It does not pick up my gold ring, but for finding studs by locating nails this works very well.

If you gave this app a 1 Star Rating because it doesn't detect pure gold or anything else not the app, go back to school. This isn't a metal detector!!! It measures the app Field Strength. Try testing it with a Refrigerator Magnet. Then change your rating!!!
